The Affordable Cities Where The Middle-Class Can Afford A Luxury Apartment

It seems rent prices and the cost of owning or renting a luxury apartment in big urban cities is well out of reach for middle-class families and even couples or singles. In cities such as New York, it can cost over $1 million dollars to buy a condominum and rents are sky high. There are some affordable cities in which the middle-class can afford a luxury apartment however, here are just a few.  

Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas

In Kansas City, Missouri you are able to find gorgeous luxury apartments at a fraction of the cost of some of the larger major cities. The city has one of the prettiest downtown areas in the country and you are not far from the peace of tranquillity of the countryside. The average price of renting a luxury apartment here is about $730 a month.

Columbus, Ohio

Columbus is home to the Ohio State University, is well known for its advancements in technology and is a good place for business owners to open up. There is plenty to see and do here too with one of the world's most famous amusement parks in your backyard. The rent here is in the $800-$900 range and buying an apartment is also affordable.    

Arlington, Texas

This smaller city in the big state of Texas has the more famous neighbors of Dallas and Fort Worth close by. It is home to the baseball team Texas Rangers and football's Dallas Cowboys. An interesting fact about Arlington, for a city of its size, it has no public transportation system which might make it more difficult to get around if you don't own a car. The average rent is also in the $700 range.

Tulsa, Oklahoma

One of the smaller cities in the United States, it still boasts a lot of charm and appeal. There are some fabulous apartments right in the downtown core for an unbelievable $600 price range a month. This city could be a big draw for those who love severe weather too, as it sits in the heart of Tornado Alley.

Tuscon, Arizona

If the Southwest is a big draw for you, then you might want to check out Tuscon, Arizona. The buildings are beautiful, filled with vibrant colors, and you are never far from fantastic scenery of the gorgeous desert view and the Santa Catalina Mountains. The average rent here for an apartment is in the $700 range.

Witchita, Kansas

Wichita is located on the Arkansas River and is home to many businesses dealing in aviation. There are not only great deals on beautiful apartments--typically in the $600 - $700 range--but, also, great jobs and careers to be found here.
